![]() Perception and judgment are mental processes, mental activity or how people use their minds. We call these opposites preferences because most people prefer one side more than the other but can access and use both sides of a preference pair if a situation calls for it. There are also opposite ways in how people naturally make decisions. ![]() Judgment involves all the ways of coming to conclusions about what has been perceived. People naturally perceive in opposite ways. Perception involves all the ways of becoming aware of things, people, happenings, or ideas. I hope that you have all found it as fun and interesting as I have.Perception and judgment, in type theory, describe how people prefer to use their minds. Thank you all so much for taking the test and participating in the poll. I was expecting a difference but not one of that size, just one more thing for me to think about. There is nothing tangible to be taken away from the poll just as there is nothing tangible to be taken away from the test, not really. This is a very small group but I think that it is amazing that % wise it is almost reverse of the general population. Come on, who would believe that just because a heavenly body moves the larges surface of the planet back and forth twice every day it would have any effect at all on a tiny fetus sloshing around in its little mommy baby's tank? I wonder if 2,000 Years ago they knew that the sapogenins in it were not enough to be helpful.Īstrology, not horoscopes, is something that people laugh at me about a lot when the subject comes up. ![]() Fenugreek has been used for thousands of years for new mothers but I had a friend argue that it is useless as a supplement for me or anyone. I would like to point out though that because it is not perfect is no reason to believe that it is not useful. So it's not to change lives, just a curiosity. It is not who I am but feeling like I was part of an alien race my whole life it felt, well it felt just like 4 years ago when I learned what transsexual was and I knew that I was not alone. For myself most every other description is nothing like me and the one I fit in is almost spot on. It is interesting and fun plus a little more. It is NOT good science but our lives are not lived in a test tube or an equation written in chalk on a blackboard are they. The test and descriptions ARE vague to an extent. Lol □Īctually I love cooking and company so I haven't been this happy in a long time, just busy. I am completely ready for the company tomorrow though so. The house is clean now and the stuffing is done, I can relax a little. It's been a busy week so I haven't been on much, sorry. Yet I can't take them all that seriously, and I'm certainly not going to imagine that I'm only one type. They're fun, and to the extent they cause me some introspection, that can't but be all to the good. I can be ENTP, but I can be all the others, too. Depends on my mood, the situation, my company, what's appropriate, the information I have, and so forth. If M-B already had it all set up, it's not like they were doing anything but intuitive guesswork at best, and at one's most cynical, one might accuse them of simply developing something that would sell a lot of books.Īnd anyway, people are complicated. There's a lot more E/ISFJ than E/INTP That kinda suggests that Myers and Briggs already had their categories defined before they set out. That is, whether you're an E is supposed to have nothing to do with whether you're an N, and neither should have any sway over whether you're a T or a P.īut if they were really independent, every segment should be equally common. Heaven knows, ENTP describes the kind of person I aspire to be.īut in Myers-Briggs, we're using four independent binary variables to slice ourselves into sixteen segments. I'm not saying that elements of the descriptions can't ring true, even very true. If everyone will forgive my putting my ENTP hat on, it seems hopelessly reductionistic to categorize all people into 16 (or on this version, 32) non-overlapping categories.
